Ladies, listen up. Once I found out about this bra, it felt like a dis-service if I didn't share it with you.

I first found out about The Very Good Bra and Stephanie Devine's story as an avid listener of the Low Tox Life podcasts by the incredible and inspirational Alexx Stuart. You can listen to it here.

I have three very personal connections to this new groundbreaking product - 1. I LOVE lingerie 2. I am making slow, steady changes to make more conscious clothing/wardrobe choices and 3. I have had 3 surgeries to remove breast lumps, so am very attentive to anything breast health related.

The stats about bras are almost sickening:

/ The average woman owns 9 bras - meaning the 2 billion women in the world will contribute 18 billion bras into landfill.

/ Cotton isn't an earth friendly textile - taking 20,000 litres of water to grow 1kg cotton

/ Bras are made with all sorts of nasty, toxic stuff. Not ideal placed on the area of our body that is so sensitive and prone to cancer, not to mention feeding bubs.

/ It's an Australian company, trailblazing to create a sustainably designed and produced bra that has never been done before

/ No wire. No toxins. No waste

/ It is so environmentally friendly, that it can be buried in the garden when it eventually wears out - how amazing is that!

/ There are 24 sizes available

/ Stephanie has sourced zero waste elastic made from sustainably farmed rubber trees and organic cotton, for organic sewing thread, organic inks and completely compostable packaging.

This has been a Kickstarter project to get the lingerie into production and the outcome for The Very Good Bra was achieved very quickly.
